The Plumosa or Asparagus fern plant is not really a fern at all, but a member of the Liliaceae family.  This is an elegant fern with long wiry stems and frond-like sprays that scramble outwards horizontally. It will grow bushy initially, developing long, twining stems of bright green, feathery fronds.

Water: High. Water potted plants regularly (1-2x/week) to keep the soil moist.

Sunlight: Bright indirect light. In lower light an asparagus fern grows very slowly and may develop yellow fronds.

Placement: Will do well in an Eastern facing window. Looks great as a hanging plant, or in a grouping of other plants.

Pets: Toxic for pets.
